Thai Tea Rules
Thai Tea is a variation of high tea that uses Uno cards instead of traditional playing cards, making it a great option when standard cards aren’t available or if you want a slightly more complex game.
Things You Need
- Two Players
- Two Shot Glasses (of the same size)
- A Deck of Uno Cards
- Shooting Liquor (must be at least 38% alcohol content to ensure enough fear)
- A Normal Drink for each player (beer, cocktail, etc)
Set Up
- Shuffle the deck thoroughly.
- Each player gets 7 cards to start.
- Place the rest of the deck face-down in the center as the draw pile.
How to Play
- Draw the House Card from the top of the deck and reveal it face-up. (If a power card is drawn, draw again.)
- Each player secretly selects one card from their hand and places it face-down.
- Reveal both cards simultaneously to compare them:
- The player who plays the lowest card (1–9) loses the round.
- The losing player must drink, based on the comparison with the House Card:
- If the loser's card is equal to or higher than the House Card, they take a sip of their normal beverage.
- If the loser's card is lower than the House Card, they must take a shot.
- After one or both players have taken their drinks, place all the played cards onto the House Card pile. Then, draw a new House Card to start the next round.

Power Cards
- Wild: Your card automatically matches the House Card.
- Skip: Draw a new card from the deck as your play card for this round. Reverse: Your opponent holds up their cards randomly. You pick one without seeing it to play for this round. They redraw a replacement card afterward.
- Draw 2: Add +2 to the House Card’s value. If your opponent doesn’t lose, you take a shot.
- Draw 4: Same as Draw 2 but adds +4 to the House Card’s value. (Same penalty applies.)
Additional Rules
- If both players play the same card, they both drink a shot as a penalty.
- Before play begins, a player may request a reshuffle of both hands and the deck, but this comes at the cost of taking a forfeit shot.
- Each round is limited to a maximum of one shot per player.
